Meeting Minutes
11/11/2023
John started the meeting with 13 members in attendance.
We sold 50/50 tickets again on Friday, November 10th our share was $85.00
Tozzi's Restaurant has been reserved for our Christmas dinner on Saturday, December 9th at
6:30. The owner was able to quote Nancy the same dinner price as last year. We will have a
choice of 3 different entree's and our meal will include baked potato, house salad with roll,
family style pasta and family style peppers and onions. Coffee and tea as well as dessert are also
included. Nancy will call Tozzi's with a final count on November 30, so if you pan on attending,
please get your reservations to either Brent or Nancy as soon as possible. And remember to bring
a wrapped Christmas gift if you wish to participate in the gift exchange ($10-$25)
We discussed in the meeting that instead of the club using $400 of club money to purchase
gifts for Toys For Tots, we would use $200 of club money and then use $200 donated by Jessie
Turnbull. We then all agreed that we would like to donate $400 for K9's for Warriors. This
organization will pair a struggling veteran with a shelter dog that has been trained to help
veterans with post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. Nancy E
will send a letter along with our club business card and a check for $400 to this worthy cause. I
think is awesome that we were able to help two wonderful organizations this year!
The Hine's & Everhart's went shopping this week to buy Christmas gifts for the club to donate
to Toys for Tots. As you know.... everything is more expensive now, but we did fill up the back
of Dave's SUV with lots of toys! Dave will drop the toys off at the Goodyear blimp hanger
cruise Toys For Tots location.
Thank you to everyone who contributed by bringing in toys to add to our donation and a special
Thank You to Jessie!!
